33 weeks

As the weeks keep passing along I’m getting more and more ready to meet our sweet baby girl. I’m actually starting to get my hopes up over and over again that this week will finally be the week she comes even though I know I’m only 33 weeks and it’s still way to early but I think I’m just getting over it.

This weeks pregnant systems have been.

• Braxton hicks

• on and off sleep

• sickness and diarrhea on and off.

• engrey levels low.

• everything is starting to feel tight and I’m struggling to breath and gone are the days of sitting on the floor with the kids at work or with my son at home.

• I actually feel like I’m losing weight like my face is getting slimer and I’m not holding that water weight as much as I was last week.

Ob check up:

Every two weeks I see my OB at the hospital and this week was my check up. Baby girl is doing well she’s 70% cooked which apparently is a little on the chubby side but her head is still measuring smaller but blood flow etc is good. Her little head is now in my pelvis area and he said she will probably stay head down now until she’s ready to come and make it into the world.

Don’t ask what I’m looking at because I don’t know.

The weeks seem to be going slower and I’m starting to get more and more tired of pregnancy.. I’m trying so hard to enjoy these last few weeks as I’ll never get them back but man I can’t wait for baby girl to be here.

Can’t wait to see what 34 weeks of pregnancy brings me.

31 weeks and over it

This week was a hard week… I feel like I’m just repeating myself every week when I day this but I guess as I’m getting closer and closer to my due date things are just getting crazy.

I was one big emotional mess this week. Found myself crying myself to sleep one night thinking the hubby doesn’t love me anymore.. he does and I’m just that crazy pregnant women.

We finally began getting the hospital bags ready for her arrival this week. We chatted with everyone in my family about our game plan for the hospital and who would come take care of our son, we spoke with our photograph about our photos coming up and paid that all off. We did a lot dispite feeling so emotionally run down and tired.

This week’s pregnant systems

• every time I blow my nose I now always have a little blood mixed with it.

• Braxton hicks happen a lot! When I’m at work I’ll get them twice a day just by being on my feet or if I clean my house etc, sometimes super painful and others just normal cramping. I guess second pregnancy it’s a normal thing.

• I wake every night now on and off sleep has become a normal thing which my body is just used to and I guess it’s only going to get worse when she’s born.

• leg cramps at night and super painful

• dizziness

• not hungry as much anymore and don’t really get to finish a whole meal and some nights I’ve gone without dinner because I just don’t feel like it.

• shortness of breath.

• at the end of a working day my feet are puffy, my rings don’t feet my fingers…

• very emotional

Bump update:

Our OB check up.

We saw our OB this week as we now see him every two weeks. I spoke about the Braxton hicks and the spotting I had last week… he was worried about the bleeding and if it happens again I have to go in straight away and not wait. As for all my Braxton hicks… Well I guess I just have to get used to them until she comes.

Only 8 weeks left now! I can’t wait to meet my sweet baby girl and have our family finally feel complete.

29 weeks done and dusted

Holy heck I’m now officially out the 20’s and hitting the 30 weeks!? Blows my mind.

Wow I don’t even know how to start off with how crazy this week has been and I can feel myself getting more and more over being pregnant as the weeks go by.

This week’s pregnant systems:

Heads up this weeks a little TMI!

• feeling funny in the stomach… honesty don’t know how to word this but for the women out there my week started off with me feeling like when you are due for your period and you keep running to the bathroom to check because your body just feels like it’s leaking or it’s about to start… well yeah I had that feeling which started my week off and lasted a few days to be honest but nothing came of it?

• on the 9th of February I had a night of cramping which happened twice and about 20 minutes apart but again it stopped after the second and never came about again and I went to bed to sleep and was fine the next day.

• my bathroom breaks are becoming more and more and I’m talking lose bowel movements… I seem to poo a lot this week… again TMI I know

• diarrhea Monday 10th but only lasted that day and soon stopped.

• sleeping habits have changed and I’m now waking up at night a lot.of break sleep.. I’ve actually found sleeping on the sofa I get a better night sleep which is so weird.

• heartburn is still very much a thing and reflux

• headaches on and off this week.

• the pregnancy waddle is very much alive and feeling baby girl head down of I walk too much. Gone are the days I could walk the whole food shop with ease!

Mummy skin care routine

The other day I did a blog about my night routine with my two year old. And I thought I would add in a separate blog how I do my skin care routine every night Durning pregnancy and after pregnancy.

Fun fact ” well not so fun for me.” When I was in high school I suffered really bad face acne and my mother tried every brand even proactive “which burner my face.” Turns out I just have really sensitive skin. In the end we went to the doctors and I was put on medication for my acne and it cleared my skin right up. But because of this little gem I’m so scared to this day to have my face break out again so out of everything I do my skin care is my number one and no matter where I am I will always do it.

First thing is first I’ve tried so many different facial products to finally find a brand that my skin is happy with and just because this brand works for me doesn’t mean it will work for you, I think it’s all about trial and error when finding a product for your skin.

My skin type:

My skin type is actually very dry I have only just about a year ago been told I have “mild eczema.” And my dad also has this too. So as I said above it took me a very long time to find a skin care brand that is good for my body. Not even skin care I had to change up my shampoos and body wash too, I used to use brands that made my face all red and burn and shampoo that made me get really bad dandruff because I have such dry skin and eczema which I didn’t know about.

Brand I use and love!

About a year ago I finally found a brand that worked well for me and that brand is called.

Background on this brand.

First thing first sukin is an Australian made brand and is all natural and when I say all natural I really mean it. There are no chemicals no harm to animals and the brand is a massive supporter of helping our environment. This brand for me has been the only brand my skin doesn’t react to in anyway and it still works. My face is clean and clear and I love it.

Price Range.

I’m always 100% honest with my followers and yes this brand is amazing but because it’s made so we’ll they do have to sell it above award and it is a little more pricey then other skin care brands. But! Honestly for me it’s been worth every penny and it lasts for a least a month if you use every night like I do. But yes I usually spend all up on all the products I buy which I’ll list below in a second I spend about. A total = $54 but when they go on special at my local food shore or the chemist I do get it cheeper.

Products I buy & use:

I use this on my face nightly and it’s amazing.
I don’t use this every night probably only once a week after my shaving routine.
I only wash my hair twice a week as my hairdresser as asked and this the shampoo I use

My routine.

First thing first this is my makeup after a long day at work.

First step is to wash with cold water and Appy my facial wash and scrub!

My face mid scrub!?

Then I wash it off with warm water and a face wash to really get my eye makeup off and eyebrows.

Then you have scary black eye kate!

Next step is I have a shower! And when I’m in the shower I wash my face with warm water and scrub again to get any leftover makeup I might of missed. This is where I use my shampoo and do my hair care routine as well.

And then you have the end result… Make up free mother and ready for bed!

27 weeks down 13 left to go!

This week started with me on bed rest and has ended in information overload….

End of 26 weeks start of 27 weeks I began cramping in my lower front belly which wouldn’t be weird if also baby girl wasn’t the most active when cramping that’s she’s ever been. And I’m not talking just mild cramping I’m talking really bad period can’t walk it hurts cramping..

I clearly got a check up straight away and was put on bed rest for two days which definitely made things calm down. Which brings me into 27 weeks I already had a OB appointment booked for the Tuesday and I sat down with my ob and went over everything with him, turns out I got a taste of Braxton Hick contractions which isn’t that un-normal as I’ve had two pregnancy close together (two years) and because of my line of job ( educator) which is a high stressful environment.

After our chat we finally got to the scan and we soon learnt why I also might be in so much pain towards my lower belly, she likes to be head down. So in easy terms her head is pressing down on my lady bits and I’m over it!

The only bad thing about her head being so low down is when we tried to get a nice 3D picture all we could see was her ear… I was upset about this but then I soon learnt from now onwards I will be seeing my OB every two weeks until she is born as I’m close to the end!!!

Pregnancy symptoms this week:

• bad cramping and discomfort

• round ligament pains

• starting to get water weight around my face and looking a little puffy and swollen.

Pretty good week other than the Braxton Hick scare. Which it’s been a nice change.

Engery levels:

Well my two year old got sick over the long Australia Day weekend and with that meant his sleep patterns were pretty much thrown out the window as we’re mine. But surprisingly my body has been able to handle it and the only day I felt really tired and exhausted was when my body clock woke me from 1am-3am and I ended up watching tv.

Bump update.

According to my app:

She is the size of a cabbage….

And she’s only meant to 38cm and 0.98kgs well after my scan I can safely say she’s about 1kg already and that’s a big baby.

How I’m feeling:

Definitely beginning to feel run down and just trying to keep going is my main goal, walking has slowed down and I’m walking more and more like a penguin… I take it week by week at the moment.

Can’t wait to see what 28 weeks of pregnancy has in the works for me and finally in the home yard and third trimester!
